ABOUT

When the path to building a family becomes complicated or uncertain, having the right support can make all the difference. As a reproductive mental health specialist, I provide therapy and counseling for individuals and couples navigating the emotional challenges of infertility, pregnancy, the postpartum period as well as general women's issues.

The reproductive journey can bring a mix of hope, grief, uncertainty and difficult decisions that many feel unprepared for. Whether you are navigating infertility treatment, pregnancy after loss, postpartum emotional struggles or complex family building decisions, these experiences can feel isolating. I offer a place to explore what you are carrying and support you through every step of the process.

Because much of my work involves individuals and couples in active fertility treatment, I thoroughly understand the emotional demands and decision points that arise throughout infertility treatment including all assisted reproductive technologies.

I have been a therapist for 26 years and in private practice since 2010. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey and hold an LCSW Telehealth Registration in Florida. I specialize and have particular expertise in infertility and third party reproduction. I have also been certified as a perinatal mental health provider (PMH-C). I have received and continue to receive extensive post-graduate training in reproductive mental health, attend several infertility conferences annually and participate in monthly teleconference calls through ASRM.

I am an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and its Mental Health Professionals Group (MHPG) and have chaired and been a member of numerous ASRM-MHPG committees. I have presented at the Jefferson, now Jones, Infertility Counselors Conference and have  served on its advisory board.

I am also a preferred mental health provider for several leading reproductive medicine practices, including The Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Science (IRMS), The Reproductive Science Center of NJ (RSCNJ), Reproductive Medicine Associates New Jersey (RMANJ) and University Reproductive Associates (URA).

I work collaboratively with OB/GYN’s, midwives, prescribers, doulas, physical therapists and acupuncturists throughout New Jersey to help ensure clients feel supported during infertility treatment, pregnancy, the postpartum period and other reproductive transitions, including perimenopause and menopause.

My work is based on several therapeutic approaches including Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, psychodynamic and interpersonal therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, mindfulness based practices, and supportive and grief-informed therapy.

At the heart of my work is the belief that people deserve a place where they feel seen and a sense of compassion.

My role is to offer a thoughtful presence and supportive space where you can better understand yourself and your experiences. Together, we will explore the thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and relational patterns that may be shaping your experiences and how you move through your life.
